On January 29, we will have our usual end-of-the-month potluck. But we will also be wishing Pastor Brad our farewill and thanking him for his wonderful service to our church, as this will be his last day with us as interim pastor.
Christmas Eve worshiup will take place on December 24 at 7:00 pm. This candlelight service is one of most beautiful events of the year.
The Christmas Children's Program is in December 18 this year. The program will start at 10:00 am in place of regular worship.
MARION AND BARBARA STEWART
Marion and Barbara Stewart will be celebrating their 70th Anniversary August 28.
We will be having our regular POTLUCK that Sunday after worship and are honored to be celebrating their anniversary with them.
Marion and Barbara will be bringing friends and family to the potluck. HyVee, where Marion was a longtime employee, will also be bringing extra food, ice cream and cake for all of us; but we still need to bring our usual dishes.
So, please plan on celebrating and honoring these two very special and faithful people with your presence and love in the Fellowship Hall as they celebrate their 70th Anniversary on Sunday, August 28, 2016, immediately following the worship service.
God bless you, Marion and Barbara.
Mark your calendars for our Fall Kickoff, Sunday, Sept. 18.
Join us at 9:00 am for a variety of adult and children/youth classes. Worship will be at 10:00 am, and followed by a cookout meal for lunch. A mini-carnival, cake walk and bounce house for the kids is also planned. Come one, come all, invite your friends! We are also looking for help that day, check out our sign-up if you are able to bring a side dish or be a hands on volunteer!
Please mark your calendars for World Café, which will be held during the worship service on July 24. Our Regional Minister, Bill Spangler Dunning, will be with us that morning. The worship service will be mostly devoted to discussions about the process for selecting the next permanent pastor and your desires about what you think is important in the next minister.
Come one come all! Available for children preschool through 6th grade (grade fall 2016). Jr High and High School youth, AND adults are needed as volunteers. Whatever your gift or interest, we can use your help!
Invite your neighbors and friends, please use the online registration to get your kids signed up, and let me know if you have any questions!
There will be a pot luck honoring Pastor Brad following worship on May 1. In addition to delicious food, there will be a short program. We hope many of us will be able to be present to welcome our new interim minister to FCC.
Note that we will NOT have a "potluck" on our usual end of the month Sunday, April 24. Instead, we will be having a fundraiser to send children to church camp on April 24, walking tacos.
