Our Staff

Rev. Jill Cameron Michel, Pastor
Jill came to First Christian Church in June 2017 after nearly 25 years of serving Disciples congregations. She was raised in Eastern Iowa and is a graduate of Culver-Stockton College and Lexington Theological Seminary. In addition to being a pastor, Jill is a wife and mother.


Rev. Kara Seaton, Minister with Children, Youth & Families
Kara has a passion for working with children and youth, walking with them as they grow in faith. She began as a volunteer with FCC children's programming in 2011 and joined our staff in 2013. Kara is a graduate of the University of Iowa and is a commissioned minister through the Christian Church in the Upper Midwest.


Rev. Laura Kittrell, Minister of Music & Worship
Laura leads our Disciples Strings & Singers music ensemble, directs choir and special singers, and selects and organizes music for worship. She is a life long member of FCC and is an instructor of piano and voice, music arranger, and audition coach. Laura is a commissioned minister through the Christian Church in the Upper Midwest.

Damian Dorta, Technology and Communications Assistant
Damian joined our staff in 2021 and supports our online worship opportunities, social media, and other aspects of technology and communications.  We are thrilled to live in the time we do which allows Damian to be on our staff even as he lives in North Carolina.
