Beginning on February 7 at 9:00 a.m. in fellowship hall a new class, Soul Keeping, will meet every Sunday morning. At 6:15 p.m.every Wednesday beginning February 10, Ash Wednesday, there will also be a 30-minute Soulkeeping discussion prior to the weekly Lenten worship services which will be at 7:00 p.m. every Wednesday until Holy Week. Everyone is invited to participate in one or both Soul Keeping sessions each week during Lent. Participants are encouraged to buy the book Soul Keeping by John Ortberg. Copies are available in the gathering space for $16 each, or online and in local book stores for your Kindle, iPad, Nook etc.
Community walking groups are an amazing way to get more exercise and build unique friendships. Join a First Christian Moai (pronounced "Mo Eye") Walking Group – they meet every Thursday and Friday at 7:30 a.m. at the carousel in Coral Ridge Mall, and keep on walking!

Practices for FCC's Christmas Program begin Wednesday, November 4, 6:00-7:00PM at FCC. They will continue on Wednesday's through Dec 9. We have an exciting program and wonderful music planned for the kids this year.

We will begin mid-week practices the first week in November. In the past, Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00pm have worked well for most families.
Please contact Kara if your children can take part in the program (this affects which play we pick!), and if so, if your family can make Wednesday evening practices work!
Youth Retreat weekend is planned November 7 & 8 at the Christian Conference Center outside of Newton, IA. A dozen youth are already planning to attend; sign up now by calling Kara Seaton. This event is open to children 3rd grade and up.
Please let Kara know if your youth are able to attend!
Meet at Shelter #12 in lower city park (west end, next to the playground).
Bring a side dish (chips, fruit, salad or dessert) to share! Main dish, plates, napkins and drinks will be provided.
There are picnic tables in the shelter, but bring a lawn chair if that would be more comfortable. Also feel welcome to bring a yard game or balls to kick around. We look forward to a casual afternoon with our church family!

Trick or Trunk Saturday, October 31 from 5:30-7:00 pm
Church and neighborhood children are invited to come around trick-or-treating while we open the trunks of our cars and dispense wrapped candy, pencils, stickers and Christian hospitality.

Please bring chips or side dish to share. Hotdogs, buns and s'mores are provided. Other suggested items to bring: lawn chairs, bug spray, hand wipes, blanket, flashlight and a friend!
